The Myths of Vampires

Vampire myths are from 1000 of years ago and are in most every culture around the world. Their variety of vampires are endless; The list includes red eyed monsters, one eye monster with green or pink hair in China to the Greek vampires which has the upper body of a woman and the lower body of a winged serpent; from vampire foxes in Japan

The Vampires that is familiar with today, although mutated by fiction and film, are mainly based on Eastern European myths. The myths of Europe originated from the far East, and was transported from places like China, and India.

Our modern thoughts of the Vampire still retains popularized as blood drinking, return from death, preying on humans at night, which are common with the Eastern European myths. But the things we are familiar with such as wearing of evening clothes, capes with tall collars, turning into bats are much more recent inventions
